donating to Big Straw
Big Straw is a student-run organization at Carnegie Mellon University. Our funds come from a variety of sources, such as the CMU student senate, our own fund-raisers, and mostly from donations from different school departments and individuals. Big Straw has dreams of becoming more than just a magazine, because we want to bring change to the Carnegie Mellon campus. We hope that one day we will be able to bring in speakers and lecturers, invite artists and performers, organize campus-wide forums and discussion worshops, and so on. The magazine will always be the heart of our organization, but we hope to have other ways to proactively encourage students to acquaint with and think about Asian American culture, history, and contemporary issues.
