for writers interested in writing for Big Straw?
It's easy! Big Straw has four sections- Big Issues, Big Perspectives, Big Expressions, and Big on Culture. As you may have already guessed, Issues deal with more global and political issues, Perspectives pertain to personal experiences and stories, Expressions are for artistic ideas, and Culture is about, well, culture! So if you have ideas you wish to publish in Big Straw, let us know! Email your proposal to editors@bigstraw.org and we'll notify you if we can publish your ideas! We truly encourage you to submit, and if your article doesn't get published in the next issue, that's simply because we don't have space or it may be that someone else's article topic is too similar to yours. But we will definitely save your writing in our archive for future publication! In your proposal, please remember to provide your name, year, major, CMU email address, and your ideas in a paragraph (under 200 words). *Please note that we mainly publish the writings of CMU students. submission guidelines
